Jonathan Browning Interior Design

While many people know of our firm as a product design and lighting manufacturer, the truth is, we have been designing interiors since 1991. Our lighting line was developed out of necessity due to the difficulty of finding quality lighting for our own design projects. The more we talked to others in the field, it seemed like they felt the same and thus our lighting company was born. But all along the way, we have been designing interiors.

In the years after Jonathan graduated from U.C. Berkeley and then a Masters in Architecture from SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) he went on to design retail flagship stores for fashion brands on Broadway in New York, Michigan Ave in Chicago, Collins Ave in Miami, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Leidsestraat in Amsterdam and Sloane Street in London.

Hotel interiors are a significant part of Jonathan's portfolio. As Executive Vice President of Design for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Jonathan's many designs include standard rooms used worldwide for Westin and Sheraton brands, as well as flagship properties for W, St. Regis, and Luxury Collection properties.

Residential interiors recently completed include an historic family compound in Pacific Heights built in 1917, a 1930's Spanish Revival estate being featured in Fall 2012 on a Bravo Television series, and a modern pied a terre on San Francisco's Lombard Street.
